Saint Victorina of Mauretania, also known as Victoria the Martyr, was a Christian saint who lived during the 3rd century AD. She was a young girl who was tortured and executed by the Romans for her refusal to renounce her faith in Christ. According to tradition, she was born in Mauretania (modern-day Algeria) and was brought up in a pagan household. Despite her parents' efforts to turn her away from Christianity, she remained steadfast in her belief. She was eventually betrayed, arrested, and subjected to various forms of torture, including being burned alive and thrown into a pit of snakes. Miraculously, she survived these ordeals. Finally, she was beheaded and her body was buried in a secret location. Her feast day is celebrated on October 20.

Another Saint Victorina is believed to have lived in the 5th century AD in Rome. She was a noblewoman who converted to Christianity and dedicated her life to helping the poor and needy. Despite her wealth and social status, she chose to live a humble life and give away her possessions to those in need. She was eventually denounced to the authorities for her Christian faith and was arrested and imprisoned. While in prison, she continued to minister to her fellow inmates and convert many to Christianity. She was eventually executed, but her body was not found and it is believed that she was taken to heaven alive. Her feast day is celebrated on February 11.
